End user experience monitoring

Quest has a new product for Siebel 7.x that looks interesting, "SpotlightŪ on Siebel Response Time." I noticed on a December news release, so it is fairly new.

In the news release, there is a particularily pertinent quote: "Quality of user experience is gradually replacing traditional, more technical parameters for service level management as the dominant barometer of IT success," said Dennis Drogseth, vice president, Enterprise Management Associates

In many respects this is true. What most administrators want out of a monitoring tool is something that will let them know when a end user is having troubles. Simulating end user interactions for Siebel was a domain initially owned by Mercury Interactive, and Empirix (a relative newcomer) and now Quest.
