Oracle managment pack for Siebel 10gR4
Oracle managment pack for Siebel is released. Looks like some very usefull features too, including 7.7 and 7.8 compatiblity. I have only seen this announced on the Oracle forms... look for press releases too....

Don't bother installing Siebel 8 on Vista
The Siebel 8 installer for the Enteprise Server, when run on Windows Vista, fails immediately, notifying you that the installer must be run "on a Windows machine". So Oracle/Siebel doesn't recognize Vista as a Windows machine. Somebody should tell Microsoft....

Siebel 8 install on Windows XP?
XP not an officially supported combination OS for Siebel 8 Enterprise Servers. I have a feeling it will work, as the Oracle installers generally don't enforce OS requirements. However, one thing you can not do is install two Siebel Gateways...
