Siebel 8.0 with Oracle 10g XE
Well, Siebel 8.0 is up in the lab (at least the Siebel Server and database). Environment:
- AMD Athalon 1.1ghz processor
- 1gb of DDR2100 Ram
- Oracle Enterpise Linux 4
- Oracle 10g XE (default tablespaces/memory)
- Siebel eBusiness 8.0 (SBA)
-- Gateway Server
-- Siebel Server
That environment is rather underfunded compared to the hardware requirements for Siebel 8. Oracle XE is not listed as an option... still it works. Also, as this is a pure development enviornment, none of the Oracle tunning for Siebel procedures were followed. While running granusr.sql, you have to list a user tablespace and index space, and USERS tablespace which ships default with Oracle XE was used.
